South Africa defeated Australia by a margin of 12 runs on Sunday (Feb 23) in the second T20I of the three-match series at St George's Park in Port Elizabeth to level the series 1-1. Captain Quinton de Kock with the bat and pacer Lungi Ngidi with the ball starred for the home team in this must-win game.
Having opted to bat first, South Africa posted 158 for 4 in 20 overs courtesy a half-century from Quinton de Kock (70 off 47) and a crucial contribution from Rassie van der Dussen (37 off 26). In reply, Australia scored just 146 for 6 falling short of the target by 12 runs. David Warner (67* off 56) scored an unbeaten half-century but he couldn't take his team over the line.
