Woakes achieve career-best rating in Bowler Rankings

England all-rounder Chris Woakes reached new heights in the ICC Player Rankings following the recently concluded three-match ODI series against Australia! With 6 wickets in those three ODIs, Woakes has now moved up to No. 4 position in the ICC ODI Bowler rankings. Woakes currently have 675 bowling rating points, his career-best figures!

New Zealand’s Trent Boult, India’s Jasprit Bumrah and Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman are at the first, second and third positions in the ICC ODI Bowlers list while South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada is at the fifth position of the list. Among English bowlers, Jofra Archer was the only other to feature in the top 10 of ICC ODI Bowler Rankings. With 637 points, he is at the 10th position in the list.

Having scored 89 runs with the bat, Woakes moved to No. 2 in ICC ODI All-rounder Rankings. With 381 rating points, the all-rounder is only 20 points behind the first-placed Afghanistan spinner Mohammad Nabi. England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes who even though missed the ODI series against Australia is at the fourth position of the ICC ODI All-Rounder Rankings!

Among the Australian bowlers, pacer Josh Hazlewood (654 rating points) moved up seven places and is currently stationed at the eighth place in the ICC ODI Bowler Rankings. His team-mates and fellow pacers, Pat Cummins (659) is at the sixth place and Mitchell Starc (637) is jointly at the tenth place in the list.
