Rajasthan Royals (RR) started off the tournament well with victories with both their first two games in Sharjah and then lost their way with four losses in a row! However, they made a comeback in the day game of Sunday (Oct 11) double header defeating Sun Risers Hyderabad (SRH) to register their third victory of the season. This morale-boosting victory in Dubai helped them put an end to their four-match losing streak!

Having opted to bat first, Sun Risers did not make a great impact with the bat! Courtesy of knocks from Manish Pandey (54 off 44) and David Warner (48 off 38), Sun Risers crawled their way to 158/4 in 20 overs. Among RR bowers, Jofra Archer, Kartik Tyagi and Jayadev Unadkat bagged a wicket each. Apart from the wicket, Archer was economical as well conceding just 25 runs from his 4 overs besides picking up a wicket.

During the chase, Rajasthan fumbled at the start of the chase losing their overseas batters (Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler and Steven Smith) cheaply with just 26 runs on the board. After four consecutive single-digit scores, Sanju Samson scored 26 runs in this game. And then it was all about the unbeaten 85-run partnership between Rahul Tewatia (45* off 28) and Riyan Parag (42* off 26) that helped Royals to register a comfortable 5-wicket victory.

Among Sun Risers bowlers, Khaleel Ahmed (2/37) and Rashid Khan (2/25) bagged two wickets each. Tewatia had hit Rashid for three consecutive boundaries in latter's fourth over or else his bowling figures would have been even more brilliant. Meanwhile, Rahul Tewatia has bagged the 'Player of the Match' award for his crucial knock with the bat in this victory.
