Faf becomes 2nd South African to get out on 199

South Africa have comfortably defeated injury-hit Sri Lanka in the first Test match by an innings and 45 runs to take 1-0 lead in the 2-match series. With two of the Sri Lankan main bowlers (Kasun Rajitha and Lahiru Kumara) injured, South Africa pounced on the advantage to score big and went on to win the Test match by a comfortable margin.

Sri Lanka, having opted to bat first, posted 396 runs in their first innings. Home team led by Faf du Plessis marathon knock got to a massive total of 621 runs in the only innings they batted and bowled out Sri Lanka for just 180 runs in their second innings to clinch a victory by a margin of an innings and 45 runs. Here are the stats and other highlights from this Test match.
