Windies set to tour Bangladesh for Tests and ODIs

Cricket West Indies (CWI) have confirmed that they are set to tour Bangladesh for two One-Day Internationals and two Test matches. As per the tour itinerary, the tour kicks off with the ODI series in January and will go on till the mid of February.

“The approval in principle [for this tour] was made following a recommendation from CWI’s Medical Advisory Committee (MAC), having received a detailed report from the pre-tour visit of Bangladesh by CWI Director and Member of the CWI and ICC MAC, Dr Mansingh and Security Manager, Paul Slowe,” stated Cricket West Indies in their press release.

As part of taking this series forward, both the boards will fine tune the arrangements needed in order to ensure the safety of the players and the management during these tough times of the pandemic. All the five games in this tour are scheduled to be played at Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka and Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

ODI #1: Jan 20, Bangladesh vs West Indies. Venue: Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka
ODI #2: Jan 22, Bangladesh vs West Indies. Venue: Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka
ODI #3: Jan 25, Bangladesh vs West Indies. Venue: Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram

Test #1: Feb 03 – 07, Bangladesh vs West Indies. Venue: Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram
Test #2: Feb 11 – 15, Bangladesh vs West Indies. Venue: Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka
