5 – Angelo Mathews scored 27 runs during Sri Lanka’s first innings. He completed 6000 runs in Test cricket when he was batting on 19 in this innings. He is the fifth Sri Lankan player to have scored 6000+ runs in Test cricket.
135 – Sri Lanka’s team total in the first innings. This is the lowest first innings total at Galle International Stadium in the 34 Test matches that this venue has hosted thus far. Previous lowest was also by Sri Lanka – 181 against Pakistan in 2000.
