Hosts Bangladesh defeated New Zealand by a big margin in the fourth T20I to win the series with one more match to go! Their bowlers did all the hard work in the first half restricting NZ to just 93 runs and it was their captain Mahmuddulah who remained unbeaten to lead Bangladesh home quite comfortably in the end!

Chasing just 94 to win, Bangladesh lost three early wickets including 3-ball naught for Mushfiqur Rahim. However, Mahmuddulah remained unbeaten on 43* to take his side home with 6 wickets in hand with 5 balls remaining. He was involved in two crucial partnerships, 34 runs for the 4th wicket with Naim and an unbeaten 29*-run stand for the 5th wicket with Afif. These partnerships proved to be the difference between the two sides as the hosts marched to victory in the final over.
Ajaz Patel was New Zealand's pick of the bowlers with 2 wickets from his 4 overs conceding just 9 runs! Cole McConchie with a wicket is the other wicket-taker for NZ in this innings. Rachin Ravindra, though did not pick up a wicket, conceded just 8 runs from his 4 overs and was the most economical bowler in this match!
Earlier in the match, New Zealand were bowled out for just 93 runs after opting to bat first! They seemed comfortable during the 35-run stand between Will Young and Tom Latham for the 3rd wicket but it all went south once this stand was broken! Will Young top-scored for the visitors as New Zealand were eventually bowled out for 93 runs in 19.3 overs!
Bangladesh's Nasum Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers with 4 wickets from his 4 overs conceding just 10 runs. Moreover, he bowled two maiden overs in his spell! He was also adjudged as the Player of the Match for this superb bowling performance. On the other hand, Mustafizur Rahman too picked up 4 wickets in this innings conceding just 12 runs from his 3.3 overs.
This 4-wicket victory in the 4th T20I meant that Bangladesh won the 5-match T20I series by 3-1 with one more match to go! To double the excitement, this is Bangladesh's first-ever T20I series victory against New Zealand!

The 5-match T20I series is currently 3-1 in favor of Bangladesh. The fifth and final T20I of this series will be played on Friday (Sept 10) in Dhaka.
