Almost a year he had to wait for the milestone but eventually, he got there! On Day 4 at Gabba, Australia's Nathan Lyon finally managed to get a wicket at Gabba by dismissing Dawid Malan to join the elite 400-wicket club in Tests!

Lyon is the 17th bowler overall to bag 400 wickets in Test cricket while the third Australian after Shane Warne (708) and Glenn McGrath (563) to get to this feat. Having made his Test debut in the year at Galle in 2021, Lyon finally got to the milestone in his 101st Test match!
Nathan Lyon went into the Gabba Test match of India tour of Australia 2020/21 in January earlier this year needing 4 wickets to get to his milestone! Managed to get just three wickets in what was a memorable victory for India and had to wait for almost a year to make this milestone since then!
Having already played 101 Test matches for Australia and being 34-year old, it would be pretty difficult for Lyon to replicate what Warne and McGrath achieved in their Test careers with the ball but it would be great for him if he can at least get to join the 500-wicket club in Tests before he retires!
