Gujarat Titans defeated Lucknow Super Giants in a table-top clash to bag 2 points in a crucial game in Pune! Gujarat Titans now have 18 points with which they have become the first team to be qualified for the IPL 2022 season playoffs.

Titans, unsurprisingly, won the toss and chose to bat first. This has been the trend in the last 5 games this season! Bat first and bat the opponent out of the game! However, the pitch was on a slower side yesterday courtesy of which GT got to only 144/4 on the board in their 20 overs. Shubman Gill (63* off 49) played brilliant innings to take them to this respective total.
At the halfway stage, Lucknow were favorites to win the game but the other side of the innings break held a twist for the KL Rahul's team! GT bowlers were brilliant as the LSG team were bundled out for just 82 runs on the board. Rashid Khan registered bowling figures of 4/24 from his 3.5 overs while Yash Dayal and Sai Kishore bagged 2 wickets each. Shami (1/5 in 3 overs) has been impressive with the ball as well!
