MS Dhoni's unbeaten 36 helped Super Kings reach 97 runs before getting all out in the 16th over! Ironically, the 15 Extras is their next best scorer in this match! Overall, it was a much collective and decent bowling effort from the MI bowlers. Sams bagged 3 wickets while Riley Meredith and Karthikeya Singh bagged 2 wickets each. Bumrah and Ramandeep Singh picked up a wicket apiece.
Mumbai Indians had a little fumble during this tricky run chase. Though they lost 5 wickets, Tilak Varma (34* off 32) held his nerve to take MI home with 5 wickets in hand and 5.1 overs to spare. MI debutant Tristan Stubbs had an unfortunate debut who bagged a 2-ball Duck while Hrithik Shokeen (18 off 23) and Tim David (16* off 7) made crucial contributions with the bat after early wickets.
CSK pacer Mukesh Choudhary has once again been excellent with the ball against MI, registering 3/23 from his 4 overs. This is only 3rd victory for MI in 12 games this season so far who were already eliminated from the playoff race. With this defeat, CSK are also now out of the playoff race!
