Former CSK captain and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been ruled out of the rest of the IPL 2022 season with a bruised rib injury. He reportedly sustained the injury during the game against RCB last week while taking a running catch.

The same has been confirmed by the franchise. "Jadeja has a bruised rib. The medical advice is he should not strain it, so we have decided that he should leave the IPL," said Kasi Viswanathan, CSK CEO.
According to the franchise, Jadeja was benched for the game against Delhi Capitals as a precautionary measure. In their last two games this season, CSK lost to RCB by 13 runs chasing 173 runs while comfortably defeating Delhi Capitals to stay alive in the playoff race.
On the other hand, fans are not happy with the franchise's decision to rule out Jadeja for the reminder of the IPL 2022 season. They are quoting that Suresh Raina was earlier dropped from the 2021 season and had not been considered for the 2022 season. Fans are now feared that they have seen the last of Jadeja in yellow!
