Pakistan hold nerve in the 3rd ODI to complete whitewash

Great bowling effort from the Pakistan helped them comfortably defeat Netherlands in the third and final ODI of the 3-match series to complete whitewash. It was home team match to lose but Pakistan held their nerve well to walk away with a win at the end!

Toss Update: Pakistan won the toss and opted to bat first.

Having opted to bat first, Pakistan scored 206 on the board losing 10 wickets in 49.4 overs. Babar Azam alone scored 91 runs in this total with second best score in the innings by bowler Mohammad Nawaz (27 runs). Bas de Leede was the pick of  the bowlers for the home team with a 3-wicket haul.

Netherlands, chasing 207 runs to win, managed to score 197 before getting bowled out in 49.2 overs. Naseem Shah bagged five wickets and Mohammad Wasim picked up 4 wickets as the hosts fell short of the target by 9 runs in the end!

For the record, Netherlands had the chance of winning both the first and third ODIs in this 3-match series but lost both of them by agonizingly small margins!

Match result: Pakistan defeated Netherlands by a margin of 9 runs.

Naseem Shah has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his crucial contribution of 5-33 from his 10 overs. With this 9-run victory, Pakistan completed a 3-0 whitewash in this 3-match ODI series in Netherlands.
