England take series lead in the 3rd T20I

Harry Brook and Ben Duckett out batted hosts before their bowlers helped England comfortably defeat Pakistan in the 3rd T20I of the 7-match series to take the series lead of 2-1 with 4 matches to go.

Toss Update: Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first.

After being sent into bat first, England scored 221 on the board losing 3 wickets in 20 overs. The visiting batters attacked right from the word play as they made 82 runs at the fall of their 3rd wicket in 8.3 overs. Harry Brook (81* off 35 with 8 fours and 5 sixes) and Ben Duckett (70* off 42 with 8 fours and a six) put together an unbeaten stand of 139* runs for the fourth wicket to help England pile up a massive total on the board.

Shanawaz Dahani had one of the bad outings in this game as he conceded 62 runs from his 4 overs without even picking up a single wicket! Usman Qadir (2-48) and Mohammad Hasnain (1-36) were the wicket-takers for Pakistan.

Pakistan, chasing 222 runs to win, managed to score 158 losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan couldn't repeat their heroics from the day before as they both departed scoring 8 runs each! Shan Masood top scored for Pakistan with 65 runs as they eventually lost the match by 63 runs conceding a series lead to England!

Match result: England defeated Pakistan by a margin of 63 runs.

Harry Brook has been adjudged as the Player of the Match for his crucial contribution of 81* not out off 35 deliveries with 8 fours and 5 sixes. The 7-match T20I series is currently in favor of England (2-1) with the fourth T20I on Sunday (Sep 25).
