India comfortably defeated hosts England in the first two Women ODIs in England to take an unassailable lead of 2-0 in the 3-match series. Visitors so far have put up an all-round performance in this series as they have successfully chased down a target in the first WODI and defended a total in the second WODI!

This is India's first Women's ODI series victory in England since their 2-1 series win way back in 1999. They have lost all the 6 bilateral WODI series played in between against the hosts since then! Overall, this is India's only second WODI series against England in England in a total of 9 series between them!
Lets us relive how the 2022 series went so far:
WODI #1: India defeated England by 7 wickets
After being sent into bat first, home team England only managed to post a par total of 227/7 on the board in 50 overs. After a top-order collapse, there were some crucial contributions from the lower order with no. 7 Alice Davidson-Richards (50* off 61) scoring a half-century and no.8 and no.9 collectively contributed 55 runs in this par total!
Opener Smriti Mandhana led India's spirited run-chase with a crucial half-century (91 runs) while Harmanpreet Kaur (74*) and Yastika Bhatia (50) also registered the fifties each! As a result, India chased down the target with 7 wickets in hand and 34 balls to spare in their innings! This was surely a thumping victory for India against hosts England upfront in the series!

WODI #2: India defeated England by 88 runs
Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur led from the front as India posted a mammoth 300+ total on the board after being sent into bat first. For the record, Harman scored 100 runs off 100 balls and then switched on gears as he hit 43 runs from the next 11 deliveries she faced in this innings! Harleen Deol (58 off 72) and Smriti Mandhana (40 off 51) also made notable contributions as India ended their innings with 333/5 on the board in 50 overs.
During the run-chase, England only managed to score 245 runs before getting all out in 44.2 overs. Danni Wyatt (65 off 58) scored a half-century for England in this heavy defeat. Renuka Singh (4/57) was the pick of Indian bowlers in this series-winning victory!
