Indian star pacer Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of action for some time as he sustained a back injury. According to the BCCI media release, he has been ruled out of the ongoing 3-match T20I series against South Africa at home. And the media release did not mention his involvement in the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia.

Mohammad Siraj will replace Bumrah in India's T20I squad for the South Africa series. Though he was not part of India's reserves, Siraj got a chance as Shami got injured and Ravindra Jadeja was already ruled out with injury!
"The All-India Senior Selection Committee named Mohammad Siraj as a replacement for injured Jasprit Bumrah for the remainder of the T20I series against South Africa. Bumrah has sustained a back injury and is currently under the supervision of the BCCI Medical Team," stated a BCCI media release.
India already won the first T20I by a thumping margin in Trivandrum by 8 wickets. The 2nd and 3rd T20Is of this 3-match series will be played in Guwahati (Oct 02) and Indore (Oct 04).
