Toss Update: India won the toss and opted to bat first.
Having opted to bat first, India scored 179 on the board losing 2 wickets in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma (53 off 39), Virat Kohli (62* off 44), and Suryakumar Yadav (51* off 25) all scored half-centuries as India got a huge total on the board. KL Rahul (9 off 12) once again failed with the bat.
Paul van Meekeren (1-32) and Fred Klassen (1-33) were the wicket-takers for the Netherlands in this match. Incidentally, Virat Kohli has been undefeated in both of India's games so far in this T20 World Cup.
The Netherlands, chasing 180 runs to win, managed to score 123 losing 9 wickets in 20 overs. Indian bowlers were instrumental with the ball in this run-chase as wickets fell at regular intervals. Even though India bowled really well in this match, they failed to bowl their opponents.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2-9) was the pick of Indian bowlers while Axar Patel (2-18) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2-21) were among the wickets.
