Toss Update: England won the toss and opted to field first.

After being sent into bat first, Australia scored 355 on the board losing 5 wickets in 50 overs. Openers, Head and Warner, shared a mammoth stand of 269 runs for the first wicket that completely upset the rhythm of England bowlers and they did not recover from that blow. Mitchell Marsh (30 off 16) also made a valuable contribution as the home team got off to a huge total.

Olly Stone was the pick of England bowlers with 4 wickets and was expensive conceding 85 runs from his 10 overs! Chris Woakes who conceded 62 runs from his 10 overs was by far England's most economical bowler in this innings!

England, chasing 356 runs to win, managed to score 142 losing 10 wickets in 31.4 overs. Opener Jason Roy top-scored for them with 33 runs as they bundled out for a low score to concede Australia their highest victory in this format of the game. In fact, England lost by 10 runs to Travis Head alone who made 152 runs in this match!

Adam Zampa was once again the pick of Aussies bowlers with figures of 4-31 from his 5.1 overs. Interestingly, this right-arm spinner also bowled a maiden over.
