After being sent into bat first, Pakistan scored 137 on the board losing 8 wickets in 20 overs. MCG proved too big for Pakistan batters who scored only two sixes in their 20 overs! Shan Masood top-socred for them with 38 runs while Babar Azam scored 32 runs. Their batting strike rate was so poor as they put up only a par total on the board.
Sam Curran bowled brilliantly for England with figures of 3-12 from his 4 overs. And Adil Rashid supported his very well with figures of 2-22 from his 4 overs. Ben Stokes once again proved that he was made for big moments with his unbeaten half-century in this successful run-chase. Deservingly, Stokes also got to hit the winning runs in this second T20 World Cup title for England.
