Rajasthan Royals elected to field first on a slow surface in Jaipur and eventually fell short of chasing a low target by 10 runs! Openers helped LSG off to a good start with an 82-run partnership and that stand mostly dictated terms in the outcome of this match!

Super Giants captain and opener KL Rahul was dropped twice during his 32-ball stay at the crease and the openers put up their highest-ever opening stand this season. The other opener Kyle Mayers picked up the mantle after Rahul's departure and scored his half-century - 51 off 42 balls.
Nicholas Pooran (29 off 20) and Marcus Stoinis (21 off 16) scored valuable runs down the order as LSG finished their innings with 154/7 on the board in 20 overs. Trent Boult and Ravichandran Ashwin bowled really well for the Royals in this innings and at the halfway stage, this was just a par total but it looked like an unsurmountable mountain during the run-chase!
Yashasvi Jaiswal (44 off 35) and Jos Buttler (40 off 41) scored runs at the top while Devdutt Padikkal (26 off 21) contributed in the middle order! However, Rajasthan Royals eventually fell short of the target by 10 runs with no super-striking knock in their innings.
Avesh Khan (3/25) and Marcus Stoinis (2/28) were brilliant with the ball for the visiting side Lucknow Super Giants in this successful defense! After this match, both RR and LSG have 8 points each with RR at the no. 1 position followed by LSG on the basis of Net Run Rate. At this stage, both teams had 4 wins each from their 6 games so far in this tournament!
