MI thump SRH in Hyderabad to register third straight win

Mumbai Indians defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 14 runs to register their third victory on the trot this season! This was a great start to their IPL 2023 season after two defeats in their first two games! Most importantly, inexperienced medium pacer Arjun Tendulkar defended 20 runs off the 20th over to take MI over the line in this match!

After sending into bat first, Mumbai Indians did post a daunting total on the board courtesy a brilliant knock from Cameron Green (step for of 40 balls). Rohit Sharma (28 off 18) and Tilak Varma (37 off 17) provided good support with the bat at the other end. Mumbai Indians finished with a score of 192/5 in 20 overs.

In reply, Sunrisers were bowled out for 178 runs. Mayank Agarwal top scored for them with 48 runs but he consumed 41 balls in this innings. Heinrich Klassen threatened to take the game away with his 16-ball 36 but MI spinner Piyush Chawla got the better of the bowler! MI bowlers did held their nerve to defend the target successfully bowling out SRH with a ball to spare in the innings!

After this match, Mumbai Indians moved up to 6th position in the 10-team points table with three wheels from 5 games. Why while srh remained at 9th position with 4 points.
