The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the fixtures for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 which is to be hosted by India. The Defending champions England will face New Zealand in the tournament opener in Ahmedabad.

Both these teams played in an epic 2019 Final at Lord's which saw England beat New Zealand to win the trophy concerning boundary count. After a lot of debate and controversies later the boundary rule was scrapped from the rule books! After all that drama, this opener in Ahmedabad will surely be an epic.
Each of the 10 teams in the tournament will play 9 league games facing each opponent. The two semi-finals will be played on 15th November (at Wankhede in Mumbai) and 16th November (at Eden Gardens in Kolkata). The Final will be played on 19th November (Sunday) in Ahmedabad.
The four teams at the top of the points table will get a chance to play in the semi-finals while the winners of the semi-finals will contest in the Final.
