Hosts Pakistan will kick start the Asia Cup 2023 tournament by playing Nepal in the opening game in Multan on Wednesday (Aug 30). This would be the first time Nepal would face Pakistan in any format of the game. So far, they had only played three full-member nations - Ireland, West Indies, and Zimbabwe.

Pakistan are coming fresh from a 3-0 ODI series victory against Afghanistan which was played in Sri Lanka. It is worth mentioning that Afghanistan had the chance of winning all three ODIs but Pakistan found ways to snatch a victory and the series!
Pakistan, would no doubt, decimate Nepal in this match but this should be a great learning for Nepal who would very rarely get a chance to play against top countries in this sport! Play starts at 03:00 pm IST in Multan.
On the other hand, Nepal are also making its Asia Cup debut with this game. It should be a moment of celebration even though they are expected to take a heavy beating in the hands of a solid Pakistan line-up in this match!
