Imam-ul-Haq's 78, Mohammad Rizwan's unbeaten 63 and Haris Rauf 4-19 helped Pakistan comfortably defeat Bangladesh in the 1st match of Super 4s of the Asia Cup 2023 tournament. The hosts made light work of Bangladesh to start the Super 4s round on a high at Gadaffi Stadium in Lahore.

Having opted to bat first, Bangladesh scored 193 before getting bowled out in 38.4 overs. A top-order collapse meant that they were trailing with 47/4 on the board. Then their senior players, Shakib al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim stepped up with a superb 100-run stand for the fifth wicket.
