Clarke, who retired nearly a decade ago, was celebrated for his significant contributions to Australian cricket, including his role as captain when Australia won the 2015 ODI World Cup. His career statistics include 8643 Test runs and 28 Test centuries, making him one of Australia's notable cricketers.

During the induction, Clarke expressed his surprise and honor at being included among so many legends of the game he admired growing up. The induction ceremony highlighted his career achievements, including his leadership during a successful period for the Australian team, his exceptional batting records, and memorable performances like his triple century against India at the SCG in 2012.

The Australian Cricket Hall of Fame chairman, Peter King, praised Clarke for defining his generation with both his batting prowess and leadership qualities, noting his peak performance when he was ranked as the world's best Test batter.

Clarke's induction was also marked by comments on his ability to lead and the impact he had on Australian cricket, even extending to his occasional off-spin bowling which played a pivotal role in retaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in 2008.

This induction comes with Clarke's career being fondly remembered by the Australian public, and his legacy is now cemented alongside other cricketing greats in the Australian Cricket Hall of Fame.
