The squad combines seasoned players with promising young talents, aiming to make a significant impact in the tournament. Leading the batting line-up will be Bavuma, supported by the likes of Aiden Markram, David Miller, and Heinrich Klaasen, who have been pivotal in South Africa's recent white-ball success.

The team also features all-rounders Marco Jansen and Wiaan Mulder, who add depth to both batting and bowling. In the pace department, South Africa boasts a formidable trio of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and Lungi Ngidi, known for their ability to dismantle batting orders across the world.

Spin will be handled by Keshav Maharaj and Tabraiz Shamsi, offering different bowling styles to keep the opposition guessing. Emerging talents like Tony De Zorzi and Tristan Stubbs are also included, suggesting an eye on the future alongside current strength.

The squad, however, does not feature some expected names like Gerald Coetzee, indicating a strategic choice in player selection for this specific tournament. This team composition reflects a balanced approach, mixing power with strategy, and experience with youth.

With the Champions Trophy known for its high stakes and competitive cricket, South Africa looks set to challenge for the title under the leadership of Bavuma in this prestigious event.
